We are the fastest-growing CIS vendor in Europe, and with our new Canadian Division, we now offer an alternative to US-based information solutions for healthcare organizations in Canada.
Teamwork, boldness, honesty, commitment, expertise, and a customer-focused culture are the core values that guide how we strive to succeed as an organization. Joining SOFTWAY MEDICAL means embarking on an adventure where your career path will be defined by your desire to learn, your ability to come up with original ideas and willingness to try new approaches.
We offer comprehensive benefits with medical/dental plan and very generous starting vacations (5 weeks, including holidays off every year), hybrid work with a downtown office (Square Victoria), full remote work capability and flexible work hours.
Job Description
As Clinical Application Specialist, you will become our local expert on how to adapt our solution to best support our clients’ clinical workflows. You will learn every feature and option of our products inside and out, while also developing a deep understanding of clinical workflows in various care settings and medical specialties. Your day-to-day work will vary from month to month as you will be called to tackle increasingly challenging projects with all departments and clients as you grow your expertise. Examples of the specific challenges that await you over the next few years include:
- Supporting pre-sales by analyzing client processes, then planning, designing and presenting demos tailored to their specific needs and workflows.
- Representing SOFTWAY MEDICAL at tradeshows and other networking events.
- Collaborating with our bid team during RFP sales cycles.
- Planning, preparing and supervising product evaluations.
- Advising, coaching and training implementation resources and clients.
- Assisting technical support staff in understanding clinical workflow issues.
- Helping global product management anticipate future client requirements.
- Assisting developers to align new features and functionalities with client needs.
- Lending your product expertise and healthcare market knowledge to business development and marketing strategic initiatives.
Required Skills/Experience
This role is for someone who loves to learn everything and to try new experiences. Having the right mindset and personality will have greater impact on your success than having specific credentials. You are a young professional starting their career with one foot in clinical sciences/healthcare and the other in technology/innovation. In an ideal world, you’d rather work in both! You thrive in social settings, easily connecting with new people and enjoying getting to know them. You are a creative problem-solver. You love problems and puzzles where there is no “one-size-fits-all” right answer, but the challenge is to find the best possible approach in each situation.
You are also willing and able to travel for work when required. Some of the training for this role will take place at our corporate head office in France (Aix-en-Provence).
Required skills/experience:
- Bilingual (English/French). Please note that even though French is the primary language of work at our Montreal office, this role will support pre-sales activities for the entire Canadian market. Therefore, “functional English” would not be sufficient, perfect native level English fluency is required.
- Ability to live and work in Canada, with no restrictions against international travel.
- One of the following mixes of academic background and experience:
- Post-secondary education in a clinical program (university undergraduate studies or cegep / community college trade program) with an affinity and interest for learning and using information technology.
- Post-secondary education in computer sciences, engineering or information technology with some experience of clinical settings/hospital environments (work, internship or volunteering for example).
- Post-secondary education that includes both clinical and technology components (biomedical engineering, medical technology, health information management, etc.).
NOTE: as personality matters more than credentials, we encourage you to include details such as hobbies, interests, volunteering, and other personal experiences on your resume!
